This featured piece is a 15 x 30" mixed media collage describing some of the essentials needed to create a ghetto-esque environment. This picture focuses on using symbolism, image and text regarding elements of the ghetto, which entraps most of its inhabitants mentally and spiritually, especially here in the US, where most of its citizens are indoctrinated with ideas that such an environment is fitting for minorities, seeing they are born inferior. Not surprisingly, many are unaware of the true origins of the ghetto, and therefore cannot understand its implications on the people who are doomed to reside there.  This is the first of an ongoing series of works depicting ghetto life.
